"Eye and inflammation"
Join the SFB 1607 Summer School and dive into the exciting and rapidly evolving field of “Eye & Inflammation.” Designed for PhD candidates, postgraduate researchers, and medical students, this program brings together leading experts and motivated early-career scientists to explore cutting-edge topics such as corneal inflammation and (lymph)angiogenesis, immune-mediated and (neo)vascular vision loss, metabolism in eye diseases, and innovative approaches including stem cell research and AI-driven imaging.
Beyond inspiring lectures, participants will gain hands-on experience in interactive workshops covering techniques like flow cytometry, microscopy, OCT imaging, and bioinformatics—while building valuable international connections in a collaborative setting. The Summer School takes place from September 7–11, 2026, in Cologne, Germany.
Accommodation is provided from Monday to Friday, and meals are included except for three evenings. A limited number of travel scholarships are available, with reimbursement capped at 250 Euro per participant.
