SFB 1607 Researcher Dr. Wang Receives the 2026 Stiftung Auge Research Award

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Wang, a researcher within SFB 1607, has been selected to receive the 2026 Stiftung Auge Research Award.

Presented annually by Stiftung Auge, the award recognizes outstanding scientific achievements in ophthalmology and honors researchers whose work significantly advances the field. The award includes a prize of €2,500 and is regarded as a prestigious distinction within the German-speaking ophthalmic research community.

The award ceremony took place during the official awards session at DOG 2026 on 26 September 2026 at the Estrel Congress Center in Berlin. A laudation and information about the award-winning research will be published in the congress supplement, the award winners’ gallery, and subsequently in the journal Die Ophthalmologie.

We warmly congratulate Dr. Wang on this well-deserved recognition. This award highlights the scientific excellence fostered within SFB 1607 and acknowledges her valuable contributions to advancing vision research and ophthalmology.
