Poster Award at the 29th EVER Congress in Florence for Adarsh Raveendran
We are delighted to announce that Adarsh Raveendran, PhD student in subproject B04, supervised by PD Dr. med. Simona Schlereth, has received the Best Poster Award (Combined EVER/EVERF Award) at the 29th EVER Congress in Florence in October. The award, presented as a certificate, recognises the scientific contribution and research presented at this year’s congress of the European Association for Vision Research.
The award recognises his poster entitled: “Dendritic cell plasticity: how the cytokine environment shapes phenotype and tolerogenic responsiveness”.
The poster presents research on the plasticity of dendritic cells, focusing on how the cytokine environment influences their phenotype and tolerogenic responsiveness. The research focused on understanding how dendritic cells, key regulators of the immune system, adapt to different environmental signals and influence immune responses. It explored how these cells can be modulated to promote immune tolerance rather than inflammation. The findings contribute to a better understanding of immune regulation and may help guide the development of novel therapeutic approaches for inflammatory and allergic diseases.
We warmly congratulate our colleague on this achievement and are proud to see SFB 1607’s research recognised internationally!
