Antje Rach of “Worte & Wandel Training Coaching” will host an exciting day full of discussions on the topics of work, career, and family planning:

Between Career Goals and Family Plans
Navigating career and (possible) family life in academia
This workshop invites researchers in the PhD phase and early project leadership who are
navigating questions around career planning and family life — whether they already have
children, are expecting, or are simply exploring if and how parenthood might fit into their
academic path.
Together, we take a closer look at what it really means to “balance” career and family in the
context of academia: What exactly do I want to balance – how much ambition, how much
caregiving, how much space for myself? What are my values, resources, and role expectations
in this context – and which expectations come from my environment? What structural
conditions am I facing – such as mobility requirements, time-limited contracts, or pressure to
publish? And how do I want to (re)set my plans and priorities accordingly?
