How does an idea become a patent? What types of intellectual property (IP) protect research outcomes? And why should every scientist be familiar with IP rights? The seminar is designed to provide researchers with a solid foundation in Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs).

This workshop insights into the basics of patents and other IP rights, their legal implications, and the key role of IP in scientific careers. You’ll also learn about common agreements in technology transfer, such as CDAs, MTAs, and licensing contracts.
