We actively promote the advancement of young scientists while ensuring a family-friendly research environment.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Child Day Care<\/h2>\n\n<p>We help parents secure a daycare spot for their children at nearby Kitas, making it easier to balance family life and scientific work.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Support during Maternity Leaves<\/h2>\n\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">We offer support programs for women during maternity, providing dedicated assistance staff to help with daily lab tasks. This committee currently consists of:<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The KidsBox \u2013 a Mobile Parent-Child Room<\/h2>\n\n<p>The KidsBox is a mobile cupboard equipped with essentials for parents who need to bring their child to the office due to short-term childcare gaps. To borrow it, contact the Scientific Coordination Team at <a href:\"mailto:wissko.augenklinik@uk-koeln.de\">wissko.augenklinik@uk-koeln.de<\/a><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Everyday Assistance<\/h2>\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re facing an acute family stress situation and need temporary workplace support, we can assist. Anne Wolf<\/h4>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Back-up Service of the UoC<\/h2>\n\n<p>The Dual Career &amp; Family Support (CFS) at the University of Cologne assists <a href=\"https:\/\/verwaltung.uni-koeln.de\/cfs\/content\/index_ger.html\"> dual-career<\/a> couples by helping partners find jobs, improving childcare options, and maintaining databases for childcare and babysitters<\/p>\n<p>Beyond childcare, CFS also supports those caring for relatives. Explore the <a href=\"https:\/\/verwaltung.uni-koeln.de\/cfs\/content\/cfs_programme\/index_ger.html \">CFS Program for Parents &amp; Caring Relatives<\/a> for more details.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dual Career &#038; Family Support (CFS)<\/h2>\n\n<p>Parents may face challenges finding reliable short-term childcare. The UoC <a href=\"https:\/\/verwaltung.uni-koeln.de\/cfs\/content\/backup_service\/index_eng.html\">Backup-Service<\/a> provides emergency care for children aged six months to eight years.
